why you absolutely MUST HAVE this marvelous box of greetings
So one day we envisioned this box, a box much like a shoebox, and the greatest box known to the humankind because it was neatly organized, and filled with an abundance of greeting cards. And we saw this box in our office on the shelf, just sitting there, waiting for us to use it any and every time we needed. This box served us. It made us happy. It gave us peace of mind knowing that we could pop off the lid, grab a greeting card and be on our merry way.
Here are the reasons why this vision became a reality:
Birthday Greeting Card: It seems like everybody on the planet has a birthday. . . and they seem to have them
every year. . . and it seems that
people really like it when someone takes the time to finish off a gift with a nice, easy on the eyes greeting.
Mother's Day Greeting Card: We all have em. They gave us birth. The least we can do is say thank you with a nifty greeting card.
Father's Day Greeting Card: Dads are cool people. They taught us to fish. And we like fishing, so we think it appropriate to catch a card and send it their way.
Valentine's Day Greeting Card: We love love. Who doesn't?
Oh, so you're reading on, eh? You need more reasons to press the "buy it now, I need this box of cards" button. Okay, here they are. . .
Graduation Greeting Card: The time is going to come when you get a thick envelope in the mail, you know the kind where there's another envelope inside the envelope that you just opened, and it sometimes contains a small square of tissue paper with an announcement that your cousin or niece just rounded off his or her education? This type of correspondence is typically a prompt to send a little cash in the mail, accompanied by a greeting card adorned with congratulations and wishes for success.
Get Well Soon Greeting Card: We all love it when other people baby us when we're sick or laid up in the hospital. Admit it.
Thank You Greeting Card: It is right to give thanks and praise. Really. It's one of those things you just have to keep on top of. After you've met with a cool new client, or you feasted on a really nice dinner at your distant aunt's house, or your brother and his wife helped you move into your new pad, it's best to say thanks.
New Baby Greeting Card: You'll need a cute little greeting card when you're on your way to meet the new lil bundle. It's not for the baby, it's for the parents of the baby. The baby can't read yet, you see.
Wedding Greeting Card: This is one category where cards are not optional. If you've ever been to the gift opening after a wedding, you know that big sister is at the bride and grooms side with a three-subject college ruled notebook, punctiliously documenting each and every gift received next to the name of who gave them. And this big situation happens when that one oddball forgot to include the greeting card. The whole group spends hours trying to solve the "who done it" on who gave the gift, because the bride is going to send thank you cards. Don't be that oddball.
Anniversary Greeting Card: There are two crimes a spouse or partner must never commit. One is forgetting the marshmallows on the weekend camping trip, and the other is forgetting an anniversary. We know what trouble you'll be in if you commit either. Get this box of greetings.
What else is inside the box?
Thanksgiving Greeting Card: It seems like such an oversight, Thanksgiving. But believe you me, come time the bird is in it's brine bath and you're chopping celery and onions all night, you get a little misty. There's always some character in your life you really want to acknowledge. Slip a greeting under a pecan pie tin and say thanks.
Appreciation Greeting Card: These are the joy spreaders, a way to say "hey you, I like." Give em and see what happens. . .
New Life Greeting Card: Either someone's moving away, or just got a new job, gave birth, or just retired. . .In times of transition is sure feels good to know that others around take notice to these events.
Apology Greeting Card: No one likes to admit that they've screwed up, but it sure beats holding onto a resentment for a long stretch of time. An I'm Sorry card cleans up your side of the street and really takes a load of your mental shoulders.
Whimsical Greeting Card: What fun, sending cards because you can and want to. Just because cards are kinda like passing notes in the 8th grade between classes. We do it for the thrill of it! : )
You're still reading all of this? Either you are a tough sell, or you just love our writing. You know that you can have this kind of writing in the Set for a Year box of greeting cards you are just about to purchase. All you have to do is use the marvelous feature on the home page noted add to shopping cart.
Support Greeting Card: What can we say. . . the entire Set for a Year project was created as a result of a short note of encouragement. Someone zapped a line over one day and said "Keep after it, and you will get where you want to be." That's what we're doing right now. . . words are amazingly powerful, and lasting.
Sympathy Greeting Card: It's sad when someone passes on, and it's very comforting to know that lots of other people are around and care.
Blank Inside Greeting Card: And when there are no words but your own for what you need to say, the Blank Inside card fills the bill. This card is whatever you want it to be, and it is a life saver. Trust us.
So it turns out, believe it or not, that YOU USE GREETING CARDS, LOTS of greeting cards. According to the Greeting Card Association, the average household purchases 30 greeting cards per year. And today's greetings range in price from $1.99 to $10. So, taking the low figure, if you are sending 30 cards a year, you are spending an average of $60 and making multiple trips to the store. Don't do it. These last minute trips are making you late for parties and family gatherings and causing you stress and anxiety, and munching at your time.
Put the spunk, love and gusto back into your greeting cards. Just get the box. It'll be at your door within a week, and you'll be set for a YEAR!! : )
Get set today, thank us tomorrow. You'll be so happy you did it.
